TRIO MOTION TECHNOLOGY - Absolute Positioning Made Easy!
Trio introduces popular absolute encoder capability on its Motion Coordinators(TM). As a technology leader in motion controls, Trio now offers Heidenhain's EnDAT and Tamagawa absolute encoder interfaces on the PCI-208 and 3U Euro205X Motion Coordinators(TM). The PCI-208 can accommodate up to 8 axes of standard or absolute encoders in any mix on the same hardware. The Euro205X can handle up to 4 axes. "These new interfaces compliment our existing SSI and incremental encoder options giving our customers the flexibility they need to solve more applications." Compact stand-alone and PC board level designs utilize a unique flexible Daughter Board and Feature Enable Code system to mix and match controller functionality. Command options include stepper; servo, SERCOS, and CAN drive command generation. All multi-tasking controllers program using the easy Trio Basic language and have powerful cams, gearing, linear, circular, and helical interpolation functionality. Communication options include DeviceNET, ProfiBUS, ModBus, RS232/485 ASCII, ethernet TCP/IP, Modbus/TCP, and fiber optic ASCII. The standard high-speed CAN interface easily expands system I/O, or be a direct interface to CAN drives and other CAN slave devices.
