The Apex EB04 - The Newest Easy Bridge Motion Control Product Optimized For 48V Motors
TUCSON, AZ - Apex Microtechnology announces the release of the EB04, the newest addition to the Apex EB (Easy Bridge) product family targeted for motion control and 3-phase output power supplies. The EB products configure three half-bridges into a single DIP09 package. The designer can use one EB in conjunction with a single DSP device and obtain controlled outputs for brushless DC motors, steppers, AC motors, and three-phase power generation.
The 50V EB04 is optimized for 48V brushless motors and is compatible with PWM frequencies of up to 25KHZ. EB04 output current is rated 5A continuous / 10A peak. Other features of the EB04 include separate source outputs for negative rail current sense, single supply for gate drive and logic, built-in delay to eliminate shoot-through from FET cross-fire, a sleep mode for reduced power consumption, and remote shutdown for implementation of safety circuits.
All Apex EB models are housed in a 24-pin flat-back plastic DIP package with an undermount heat tab. Each member of the EB family consists of three independent IGBT or FET half-bridges with drivers. Logic level interface can be done with CMOS or HCMOS inputs.
