Motion Control Chip handles one stepping motor.
Press Release Summary:
Single-axis PCD-4511, for two-phase unipolar or bipolar stepper motors, can output CW/CCW pulses or excitation signals directly to drive chips. It has sequence logic for full and half step modes, simultaneous start and stop, linear or S-curve acceleration and deceleration, idling pulse output for start, and various limit signals. Applications include semiconductor manufacturing, inspection equipment, robots, and automatic handling equipment.
Original Press Release:
PCD-4511 - New Single-Axis Control Chip from Nippon Pulse
Nippon Pulse Motor Co., Ltd., Radford, VA - (December 21, 2001) Nippon Pulse Motor Co., Ltd. (NPM) introduces a new single-axis control chip known as the PCD-451 1.
The PCD-4511 single-axis motion control chip is designed for 2-phase unipolar or bipolar stepper motors. The PCD-4511 can output CW/CCW pulses or excitation signals directly to drive chips since sequence logic for full and half step modes is built-in. The main features of the PCD-4511 (44-pin QFP package) are simultaneous start and stop, linear or S-curve acceleration and deceleration, idling pulse output for start and various limit signals.
The PCD-4511 makes multi-axis stepper motor systems easier and more cost effective to use. The price for one unit is $9.18. The manual for the PCD-4511 is available in electronic format. Major applications for this product are high-end office automation, semiconductor manufacturing and inspection equipment, robots, analyzers, medical examination equipment, and automatic handling equipment.
