Morgan Advanced Ceramics to Showcase Alumina, Silicon Carbide, and Mullite Ceramic Components at ASM Heat Treating Society Conference & Exposition 2007

Visit Booth #1822

Morgan Advanced Ceramics (MAC), a leading manufacturer of innovative ceramic, glass, metal and engineered coating solutions, will showcase its Haldenwanger product line of alumina, silicon carbide and mullite ceramic components at booth #1822 at the ASM Heat Treating Society Conference & Exposition, September 17-19, 2007 in Detroit, MI. MAC's Haldenwanger product line is distributed through its Bolt Technical Ceramics division in North America. MAC's alumina and mullite thermal protection tubes, mullite and silicon carbide rollers, and alumina crucibles stand up to the most demanding high-temperature and high-corrosion environments in furnaces and kilns.

On exhibit will be MAC's thermal protection sheath tubes that provide excellent high temperature, thermal shock and corrosion resistance. The alumina tubes withstand a maximum permissible continuous temperature of 1600°C/2912°F, and the more cost-effective mullite tubes are rated at 1500°C/2732°F. The sheath tubes are available in gastight or porous versions, in both SAE and metric dimensions.

Also on exhibit will be the company's rollers for the continuous kiln industry, which offer outstanding resistance to high temperatures, temperature changes and chemical attack. MAC's HALSIC silicon carbide rollers are ideal for temperatures up to 1650°C/3002°F, for the most challenging ceramic kiln applications. The mullite rollers come in several grades known as SILLIMANTIN-60, SILLIMANTIN-65 or SILLIMANTIN-90 and can withstand maximum use temperatures up to 1350°C/2462°F. The mullite material provides a more cost-effective solution for the firing of large ceramic shapes and tiles.

Also on showcase will be the company's line of alumina crucibles, available in sizes ranging from 5 liters to 20 liters. These crucibles are widely used in research laboratories because the high purity alumina formulation eliminates contamination.

In addition to the wide range of standard products, Morgan Advanced Ceramics specializes in the custom fabrication of shapes and sizes, through an extensive range of process capabilities and precision machining techniques.
