Optrex 8.1-Inch ½ VGA Graphic LCD Features Economical Construction and Long Lamp Life
Plymouth, MI, October 2003 - Optrex America, Inc. has complemented its industry-leading range of mid-size monochrome LCD modules with the economical new F-51451 Series of 8.1-inch diagonal LCDs that feature economical chip-on-glass (COG) construction, minimum 50,000-hour lamp life, and are available in two display modes. Applications include POS and price scanner terminals, copy machines, musical instruments, gaming machines, vending machines, test & measurement instrumentation, medical diagnostic equipment, and industrial controls.
F-51451 modules provide 640 x 240-dot resolution, a high brightness CCFL backlight, and operating and storage temperature ranges of 0 to 50 deg. C and -20 to 70 deg. C, respectively.
They are available in both black-on-white (P/N F-51451GNF-FW-AA) and white-on-blue (P/N F-51451GNB-FW-AB) display modes, providing efficiency, economy and versatility for designers.
These compact LCD modules measure only 232.0 mm W x 97.5 mm H x 10.0 mm D (9.1" x 3.84" x 0.39") and weigh only 227g.
The CCFL backlight provided with F-51451 Series modules has a minimum lifetime of 50,000 hours and yields a typical brightness of 170 nits (cd/m2) at 5.0 mA. Typical contrast ratio for these modules is 15:1.
