Rackmaster Systems, Inc. Launches Remote Web Based Monitoring for Their Fault Tolerant Rack Mount Server Chassis

Shakopee, MN - Rackmaster Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of durable rack mount computer systems and peripheral enclosures for both Intel and Sun systems, today announced the release of its newly designed and patent pending Surveillance-Pro monitoring system. The product, to be offered as an optional upgrade on Rackmaster Aurora Fault Resilient Series computer chassis, will provide the ability to continually monitor all critical chassis parameters through the use of a miniature web server via the internet at any remote location anywhere in the world.

Critical parameters to be monitored in real-time include internal chassis temperature, as well as cooling fan and power supply status. The Surveillance-Pro system polls each Rackmaster server, and if a problem is detected, a popup window appears at the administrator's computer. The window confirms which server has failed, as well as the nature of the error. Through the use of threading technology, each mission critical server is monitored with its own program. This allows the administrator to continue to monitor remaining servers even after a failure has been detected in a single system.

"With the introduction of Surveillance-Pro, our customers will know the status of their server from across the hall, across the street, or across the world. Early detection and replacement of a minor chassis component will help prevent a potentially major problem from occurring in a mission critical environment," said Patrick Buhl, Rackmaster Systems' CEO.

Rackmaster Systems, Inc., Shakopee, Minnesota, designs and manufactures rack mount enclosures for applications ranging from telecommunications and network servers to process control. For additional information, contact Rackmaster Sales at 952-233-9820 or email at sales@rackmaster.com.
