Monitoring System provides accurate clog detection.

Press Release Summary:

Equipped with stainless steel enclosures, PNI Series differential pressure monitoring system contains numeric display, mounts directly at process, and independently monitors differential and system pressure. Electronic monitoring eliminates tubing connections that block and cause cross contamination. Product is offered in 4 systems to monitor differential pressure ranges of 150, 363, 1450, and 3625 psi. Micro DC units are available with dual PNP/NPN output, programmable NO or NC.

Differential Pressure Monitoring System Provides Accurate Clog Detection in Filtration Applications, Eliminates Tubing Connections and Cross Contamination

EXTON, PA - July 28, 2003 - ifm efector's PNI Series differential pressure monitoring system provides accurate clog detection in filtration applications. The system contains a highly visible numeric display, mounts directly at the process, and can independently monitor both differential pressure and system pressure.

The compact, stainless steel housings withstand harsh conditions and are easily connected with a patchcord. Pressure is electronically monitored which completely eliminates additional tubing connections that can block and cause cross contamination. The monitor's numeric display allows a user to view pressure readings directly at the process without the need for an enclosure. The sensor offers the convenience of bench setup and does not require a gauge or pressure instrument.

In addition to monitoring differential pressure, the unit also has the capability to independently monitor system pressure. The PNI system's ability to provide two independent setpoints eliminates the added cost of an additional switch for detecting system pressure.

Four systems are available to monitor differential pressure ranges of 150 psi, 363 psi, 1450 psi, and 3625 psi. The Micro DC units are available with a dual PNP / NPN output, programmable normally open or normally closed. List price for the system is $565 US.
