Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation introduces its newest development in predictive relay technology, Cutler-Hammer InsulGard(TM). InsulGard helps utilities and heavy industrials enhance the uptime and reliability of medium voltage power generation and distribution equipment. The InsulGard system consists of three components, including: standard sensor packages for all medium voltage equipment; a 15-channel continuous monitor that allows customers to trend humidity, load, temperature, power or reactive power, along with partial discharge activity; and software that programs and communicates with InsulGard. The software can also be used to upload data to Cutler-Hammer diagnostics personnel for further analysis and reporting.
