Thomas & Betts Introduces the Elastimold® 38kV 25kA Molded Vacuum Interrupter (MVI)
The latest edition to the T&B Elastimold solid-dielectric family of switchgear
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The new Thomas & Betts (T&B) Elastimold® Molded Vacuum Interrrupter (MVI) is the industry's only unit of its kind designed to fit through wind tower doorways. The unit is maintenance-free and environmentally friendly, containing no gas or oil, and is available for subsurface, vault, tower, padmount or riser-pole applications.
The 38kV 25kA MVI incorporates Elastimold's proven combination of EPDM molded insulation with a vacuum interrupter. This latest addition to the T&B Elastimold solid-dielectric family of switchgear utilizes a 25kA symmetrical vacuum bottle interrupter and a magnetic actuator mechanism, along with our current sensor and a broad line of control options, ranging from our internal E-Set software to our 80 Control or the SEL 351 Relay.
