With operating temperatures of 2,000 or 2,400°F, fiber-based Kaofil® grades feature smooth consistency and workability. Pumpable products are installed with piston and diaphragm pumping equipment and are suited for hot spot repair in utility boilers, HRSG units, and blast furnace stoves. Moldable grades are suited for repair or joint filling applications in ferrous, non-ferrous, and commercial markets. Both come in 1 and 5 gal pails as well as 11¾ and 40 oz tube cartridges.

New Kaofil® Fiber Moldables and Pumpables from Thermal Ceramics


Thermal Ceramics is proud to announce the development of a new line of fiber based moldable and pumpable products under the brand name Kaofil. These materials are available:

2300°F rated (2000°F recommended operating temperature)

2600°F rated (2400°F operating temperature) grades

They feature a smooth consistency and easy workability while also having excellent strength and low shrinkage properties.

Thermal Ceramics Kaofil products are packaged in 1 and 5 gallon pails as well as 11 3/4 oz. and 40 oz. tube cartridges. The Kaofil Pumpable products can be installed with piston and diaphragm pumping equipment and they are well suited for hot spot repair in utility boilers, HRSG units, blast furnace stoves and other industrial furnaces. Kaofil Moldable standard and HT grades feature good tackiness and can be used in a wide variety of repair or joint filling applications in the ferrous, non-ferrous and commercial markets.
