Original Press Release:

New Mold Release Formulated for Polyurethane Elastomer

Huron Technologies, Inc. has recently developed Mold Release Coating 7642 formulated for polyurethane elastomer. The new release product is used to manufacture interior automotive components. Release Coating 7642 was custom formulated to achieve three requirements:

o Minimize build up on the mold surface to increase the number of parts that can be made before the mold must come off line for cleaning

o Maintain desirable low gloss surface which high quality automotive
interiors require throughout the production cycle

o Provide consistent surface appearance and release performance
for all areas of these large, complex molds. Minimal build up means saving time and money by extending time between cleaning cycles. Consistent low gloss and quality surface parts cut costs since less scrap is produced.

Mold Release Coating 7642 is packaged in 5 gal pails, 55 gallon drums and 345 gallon totes. Huron Technologies, Inc. develops and manufactures a wide range of release coatings for polyurethane, rubber and composites for off-the-shelf and custom applications.
