RJG, Inc. Releases a Mold Identifier for Use with the eDART System

The ID/LX1-S Mold Identifier is a mold mountable identifying device that allows un-instrumented molds to utilize the mold identifying and job startup features of RJG's eDART System(TM).

The Mold Identifier is designed to be mounted on either the moving or stationary mold half and recognizes each mold as it is placed in a machine. Once mounted, the Mold Identifier gets power and communications through a micro connector, which allows the unit to be interfaced with the eDART System.

If a mold does not have Lynx cavity pressure sensors installed, the Mold Identifier enables the eDART System to identify and ensure that the right mold is in place before a job runs. This offers a safeguard if an operator forgets to manually select the correct mold when starting a new job. It also frees the operator from having to manually select templates and setup data. The system automatically loads all the correct setup information needed to make a good part with a particular mold.
