Modules provide direct temperature measurement via radio.

Press Release Summary:

Communicating with UWDAS TXM transceiver on 2.4 GHz wireless radio band, Model UWDAS TC connects to thermocouples, while UWDAS TH connects to thermocouples, thermistors, RTDs, and semiconductor temperature sensors. Up to 10 TC and TH modules can communicate with single TXM module, and maximum distance for clear communication is typically 30 m, depending on building construction. Channel frequency, personal network ID, and AES encryption key are programmable.

Direct Temperature Measurements via Radio

New CyberResearch(r) UWDAS TC and UWDAS TH modules connect directly to temperature detectors and send the results back to your PC via the 2.4 GHz radio band. You get immediate temperature data without the cost and trouble of long-distance cabling or the delays inherent in physically collecting logged data.

The CyberResearch, Inc. family of direct-connect temperature-input modules now includes wireless modules that eliminate the need for long-distance cabling runs. The new UWDAS TC connects to thermocouples, and the UWDAS TH connects to thermocouples, thermistors, RTDs, and semiconductor temperature sensors. Both types communicate with our UWDAS TXM transceiver on the 2.4 GHz wireless radio band. The TXM connects to your PC with a short USB cable.

Up to 10 TC and TH modules can communicate with a single TXM module. The maximum distance for clear communication depends on building construction and on the number of intervening walls, but 30 meters is typical. All of the wireless communication parameters are programmable, including channel frequency, personal network ID, and AES encryption key. You program these parameters separately for each of the TC and TH modules that you link to the TXM module.

In addition to wireless A/D temperature modules - now shipping from stock from $545 - CyberResearch, Inc., also offers conventional A/D modules, rugged industrial PCs, monitors, and accessories. For more information, call Joe Tetreault at 800-341-2525, or visit http://www.cyberresearch.com/das.
