New Modular System from Scott Specialty Gases Increases Flexibility of Gas Delivery in the Laboratory

Plumsteadville, PA-Scott Specialty Gases recently introduced a modular Laboratory Support System that makes it easier than ever to control specialty gases at point-of-use when the gas source is located in a remote location. Gas pressure, purity, filtration and distribution can all be controlled conveniently in a single unit with preassembled, snap-in panels. Any combination of pressure regulators, purifiers, moisture traps and outlet valves can be configured to meet virtually any laboratory requirements.

Modular design provides unlimited flexibility to meet existing and future laboratory requirements. Units can be wall or bench mounted, or configured to support island workstations. Back-to-back installation is also possible. Panels snap into a prefabricated metal tube chase that functions as the backbone of the system and are connected to the primary gas supply with flexible, stainless steel tubing.

Pressure control panels feature a high-purity regulator with gauge and will support two outlets with individual shut-off valves. Purification panels provide protection against contaminants in the gas supply. Moisture and hydrocarbon traps are available. Delivery panels feature up to five outlets with shut-off valves and can accommodate multiple gas service. Panel components are available in either stainless steel or brass and are tested and cleaned to maintain purity for all types of specialty gas applications.
