Modular Remote I/O's Rated Class I, Div. 2

Irving, Texas, November 28, 2001. Entrelec, a supplier of modular and "brick" style remote I/Os, now offers its systron® PM modules rated "Class I, Div. 2, Group A, B, C, and D Hazardous Locations." All modular systron remote I/Os feature this capability except for several units with relay contact outputs. The Class I, Div. 2 rated line includes bus modules,
digital and analog I/O modules, RS-232/RS-485 serial interfaces, central processing units (CPUs), and special purpose I/O modules. The rail mounted units measure only 22.5 or 45 mm wide. All remote I/Os are CE marked, UL listed, and CSA certified.

The flexible systron I/0 modules offer several application opportunities. For local applications, add our CPU to our I/O modules to create a powerful micro PLC. The CPU can be programmed
from a PC to IEC 1131-3 standards. Control up to 96 digital I/Os, or 16 analog I/Os, and up to four PID loops.

Add our fieldbus node to the same I/O modules to control remote I/O locations. Fieldbus nodes are available for Profibus-DP, Interbus-S, DeviceNet, CAN, and Modbus. Add our CPU/node to
remote locations which need distribuited intelligence. A built-in ribbon cable simplifies interfacing between modules.
