New Camco Modular Conveyors Provide Optimal Flexibility

WHEELING, Ill. (Feb. 28, 2007) - Industrial Motion Control, L.L.C. (IMC) introduces the new CAMCO Modular Tabletop Precision Link Conveyors for the specialty automation industry. This advanced product line enables designers and engineers to conceptualize, cost, design, build and deliver automation systems quickly.

"Complex assemblies with multiple parts require precision in-line indexing systems," says IMC President Jeff Peterson. "These new modular precision link conveyors are assembled-to-order using standard pre-manufactured components, providing quick delivery lead times."

The conveyors can be built to any length from 3 feet to 30 feet. Precision link conveyors can provide up to 400 workstations for the assembly of multiple-part products such as automotive fuel pumps, disposable medical devices and electrical switches. Station-to-station index times can be as short as 0.25 seconds, with positioning accuracy up to +/- .001 inches.

CAMCO's Modular Tabletop Precision Link Conveyors also feature:

o Standard footprint for three sizes of precision links. For the 3-inch, 4.5-inch and 6-inch links, the overall width of the conveyor is approximately 13.5 inches. This width accommodates various models of IMC's linear and rotary parts handlers.

o Standard incremental lengths of 18 inches per module. Designers and users can now plan and build conveyors to custom lengths using the 18-inch modules. The drive and take-up ends both are 18 inches; minimum length on the straightaway is 18 inches.

o Other standard features include a pattern of tapped holes along the length of the conveyor to receive custom or standard tooling plates and an open backbone to allow electrical, pneumatic and mechanical components to pass through the conveyor. Central and offset jackshafts can be added easily.
