Modern ABS Instrument Enclosures
OKW's advanced 'MEDITEC' enclosures have been designed for housing modern portable and desk mounted electronics. These modular enclosures are available in a large range of sizes and formats. Typical applications will include test and measurement systems, wellness and medical devices, laboratory equipment, peripherals, data storage units and much more.
The 'MEDITEC' enclosures have a uniquely modern appearance with 'L' shape moldings which are joined together at mitred corners. The construction is very rigid due to strengthening ribs on the inside. The standard color is off-white, with other colors available on demand. The cases are molded in a special grade of ABS (UL 94 HB) Novodur P2MT/AT by Bayer, which is extremely robust and shock resistant. It is also anti-static, stable and high temperatures and can be cleaned completely - vital for infection control in medical applications.
Four standard plan sizes are offered: 6.29" x 7.87", 6.29 x 10.23", 11.41" x 7.87" and 11.41" x 10.23" with standard heights of 2.91" and 4.88". This can be increased in increments of 1.97" by fitting one or more of the accessory side panel kits.
Optional sloping front panels are designed for ergonomic operation of controls and easier viewing of the displays. An infill panel can also be fitted under the sloping panel for mounting connectors for probes, data cables etc. Other accessories include ABS front panels, stacking feet and wall mounting brackets. Prices start at $34.
OKW can supply the 'MEDITEC' cases with additional holes for the push-buttons, connectors and displays, plus silk-screen printed legends and logos, and EMI/RFI shielding.
