Rugged Tablet PC Systems Now Available on GSA Schedule 70 through GB Tech

Hiawatha, Iowa - MobileDemand, a leading provider of rugged Tablet PCs for military, government and public sector agencies, announces a reseller partnership agreement with GB Tech, a leading provider of logistics and IT services to the aerospace, homeland security, energy and healthcare industries. MobileDemand also announces that its rugged Tablet PC systems can now be purchased on a GSA Schedule - General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule for General Purpose Commercial Information Technology Equipment, Software, and Services.

The GSA Schedule 70 award allows the federal, state and local governments to purchase MobileDemand products from GB Tech through a streamlined process and pre-negotiated pricing that will save them time, resources and money.

The MobileDemand products now available on the GSA IT Schedule 70 include specific configurations of the xTablet T7000, xTablet T8700 and xTablet C1200 ruggedized Tablet PC, options and accessories. MobileDemand has been providing products to the military and government agencies for several years. The US Army is using xTablets for asset tracking, and mapping in the battlefield. The USDA uses the MobileDemand rugged Tablet PC for field inspections. Other military and government applications include: use in Humvee's for routing and targeting; use by fire departments for post-fire building inspections and on fire engines for routing and accident reporting; use by the Air Force for depot logistics; and use in robotic minesweepers.
xTablets are built military rugged to withstand the rigors of government field work and military battlefields. They are MIL-STD 810G compliant and have an Ingress (Sealing) Rating of up to IP65, which means they have been tested to survive pressured water, temperature extremes, rain, humidity, salt, sand, dust, shock, vibration and 26 consecutive drops from 5 feet.
