Mobile World Congress: BEC Selects Altair Semiconductor for New Line of LTE Routers

Innovative Product Enables Service Even in Low Coverage Rural Areas

BARCELONA – Altair Semiconductor (http://www.altair-semi.com), the world's leading provider of high-performance, single-mode LTE solutions, and BEC Technologies, a leading provider of advanced CPE solutions, today announced a partnership to embed Altair's single-mode LTE chipsets in a wide range of routers, gateways, industrial M2M and public safety wireless devices. Altair's unique technology enables BEC to provide broadband wireless connectivity to customers even in low LTE coverage rural areas.

"We are pleased to announce that Altair is now our primary LTE chipset provider," said Andy Germano, Co-Founder and VP of Business Development at BEC Technologies. "We selected Altair primarily because of its product maturity and wide range of band support in both TDD and FDD bands. Moreover, Altair's unique modem implementation allows for more robust connectivity and spectrum utilization even when a large distance exists between cell sites. This answers a critical need for many of our service providers and their customers."

"We are pleased to partner with BEC and provide the LTE connectivity solution to its diverse product line," said Eran Eshed, Co-Founder and VP of Marketing and Business Development at Altair. "BEC is uniquely positioned to now offer superior multiband LTE routers, gateways and M2M devices to a large base of service providers, across North America."

BEC offers its customers feature rich and high performance platforms enabling advanced functionality and multi-service applications.

Altair and BEC are both attending Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Altair representatives are available to meet in rooms 5I35MR and 5I38MR.
