The Mosio Project Launches 'Technology for Good' Text Messaging Mobile Tools Service
San Francisco, CA -- April 19, 2007 -- The Mosio Project (www.mosio.com) announced its flagship product, Mosio, the newest cause related mobile messaging service delivering mobile tools and applications that work through text messaging from almost any phone and US carrier. Mosio allows mobile users on the go to execute mobile searches to find places to eat, drink and shop, create and send text newsletters or alerts to other mobile subscribers through its My TextCast function and utilize its "QnA" tool, a service that lets them ask questions to other Mosio users serving as "lifelines" at their computers. Differing from the $.99 per message and ad-based mobile applications in the marketplace now, the "all you can text" service is $3.95 per month with $.25 going to support global technology and engineering projects helping others in need.
The Mosio Project has contribution goals of $2 million by the end of fiscal year 2010. "No other mobile services are offering this kind of usability with a percentage of the sale going towards good causes. We are excited that Mosio is able to deliver an excellent product while benefiting the greater good through technology," said Noel Chandler and Jay Sachdev, Mosio Project co-founders. Offering something for every mobile user, Mosio has dozens of products, including the ability to receive horoscopes, news headlines and entertainment info, creating custom keywords to fetch information and "Lost Phone", a function that sends specific messages to a misplaced phone so it can be returned to the owner as quickly as possible.
Through its mission to raise $2 million by end the year 2010, The Mosio Project hopes to raise money and awareness for the work being done by organizations such as Engineers Without Borders and Wherever The Need.
