The Magnalight HAL-WCDE-4X1000 is Larson Electronics' newest stand alone light tower package and incorporates a water cooled diesel engine and 10,000 watt generator to provide operators with an effective lighting solution for areas up to 7 acres in size. This mobile light tower includes 4 Class 1 Division 2 1,000 watt metal halide lights mounted atop a telescoping boom which can be extended to 30 feet in height for maximum light coverage. Capable of operating uninterrupted for up to 12 hours, this unit is an ideal lighting solution for emergency services, large scale event illumination, construction, mining, industrial operations and anywhere an extended operation capable mobile lighting solution is needed.
The HAL-WCDE-4X1000 Mobile Light Tower is a trailer mounted lighting system and offers operators a self contained lighting package that produces enough light to illuminate an area up to 7 acres in size. A water cooled diesel engine powers a 10,000 watt generator to supply power for four 1,000 watt metal halide lights (Class 1 Division 2) that produce a total of 440,000 lumens of light. A 15 gallon fuel capacity allows this unit to run uninterrupted for up to 12 hours straight without refueling, giving operators a highly reliable light source that requires minimal attention once set up. A telescoping light boom allows workers to elevate the 4 metal halide lamps to a height of 30 feet for maximum illumination of large scale work areas up to 7 acres in size. The diesel engine used in this mobile lighting package includes a long list of features to ensure reliability and ease of operation including water cooling, key operated starting, automatic low oil pressure and high temperature safety shutoffs, dual fuel filters and easy access oil and radiator drain ports to facilitate maintenance. A commercial grade muffler system provides the quietest operation possible and a twelve volt electrical system provides reliable and simple engine starting. The 10,000 watt, 10kva generator is a four pole design and produces 120/240 volt, 1ph @ 60 Hz. This generator is a four wire hookup unit with an external ground allowing for setting up both electrical and mechanical safe grounding systems and is equipped with two Explosion Proof EDC-2023 Class I, Div. I 120VAC plugs rated at 15 amps, and two explosion proof EDC-20232 Class I, Div. I 250 Volt plugs rated at 20 amps. The light boom can be extended to 30 feet using two manual self braking winches that allow operators to rotate the lights 360 degrees when extended. Extended to its full height and with the included outriggers deployed, this light boom will withstand winds up to 65 mph. Mounted atop this light tower are four Class 1 Division 2, 1,000 watt Metal Halide Lights each producing 100,000 lumens, for a combined total of 440,000 lumens and coverage of up to 7 acres with high quality white light. These light fixtures are weatherproof and designed for durability with cast aluminum housings finished with a polyester coating, heavy duty gasket seals, impact resistant glass lenses and corrosion resistant hardware. This entire lighting package is mounted to a two wheel trailer with a 3,500 lb leaf spring axle and 15" wheels for easy transport and set up from one site to the next. The trailer includes a standard two inch ball hitch and the entire unit can be loaded and unloaded onto trucks via forklift sleeves mounted onto the outer section of the light mast. This mobile lighting package is ideal for work areas, job sites, emergency operations and event lighting as well as any application requiring an easily deployable source of large scale illumination that can run for extended periods without refueling or monitoring.
