IXI Mobile Launches the Revolutionary Ogo2.0 Web2.0 on the Go

BARCELONA, Spain and REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Feb. 14 -- IXI Mobile, the maker of the Ogo(TM) family of devices and services announced today the launch of a new hand-held mobile communication device -- Ogo2.0.

The new Ogo2.0 enhances the communication features offered in the previous Ogo version, emphasizing Web2.0 interactive content interface; a QVGA screen resolution, built-in stereo speakers and microSD memory make the Ogo2.0 ideal for viewing video clips and listening to music. The full QWERTY/QWERTZ keyboard and sleek design encourage users to interact with it and upload content to their favorite sites making it the ideal device for constant connectivity to live communities and user content generated sites.

"We are in the midst of a revolution. People are no longer passive consumers of content. Today, it's all about content creation, collaboration, and broadcasting. Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts, Wikis -- terms we'd never heard of two years ago, are what young people now do on a daily basis. But until now, the only way to participate in the Web2.0 community was on a PC. Ogo2.0 changes that and makes it fully mobile," said Amit Haller, CEO IXI Mobile.

To complete the offering and make Ogo2.0 not only mobile but continuously up-to-date, IXI have invented a revolutionary concept which offers an innovative approach for catching up with device changes. Since Web 2.0 applications are constantly being invented, Ogo2.0 features a detachable component that can add dedicated functionality without the need to replace the existing communication device -- the OgoClip(TM).

Nestled in Ogo's hinge, the OgoClip is a removable tubular device which adds both lifestyle and functionality to Ogo2.0. OgoClip can be a camera, a music streamer, a microphone, a Bluetooth accessory, or a host of other future OgoClips that will support applications that haven't even been invented yet. This concept breaks the hardware barrier providing up-sell options to carriers and affordable add-ons to end-users getting more value out of the Ogo than ever before.

"Ogo2.0 will do for Web2.0 what the original Ogo did for the first generation internet services: Make them mobile, affordable, seamless, easy to use -- and suitable for mass consumption," says Amit Haller CEO IXI Mobile

The first member of Ogo2.0 family is the CT-25E, will first be launched in Switzerland, through IXI's strategic partnership with Swisscom Mobile. Swisscom was the first carrier to launch Ogo in Europe, and will continue to collaborate with IXI on the first European launch of Ogo2.0.
