Bob Labadini, NextCom's chief technology officer, cautions that his machine "is not for everybody. It's for those who run high-performance applications." Indeed. This puppy can be outfitted with up to 16GB of memory, two dual-core Opteron processors, three 1Gbit/sec. Ethernet ports and an internal RAID 5 system with up to 1TB of SCSI storage capacity. The machine can be partitioned to run Solaris, Linux and Windows for either 32- or 64-bit applications.
