Delta Locks In with New 10

JUNE 20, 2002 - NEW YORK CITY, NY - Delta Machinery Corporation unveiled its new 10" locking bevel compound miter saw today during a press conference at New York City's Hotel InterContinental. Delta Product Manager Mark Keller said, "Progress and innovation are highly regarded Delta miter saw traditions. We've made it both easier and safer for users by integrating a front bevel lock system onto the miter action shaft at the front of the saw." Keller added, "The same shaft that locks the miter action also locks the bevel mechanism when pushed in and turned." The model MS350's easily operated front bevel also has seven adjustable positive stops, along with the front locking mechanism, providing quick, easy, and accurate miter settings and cuts. Its tough 15-amp, 120-volt (5,200 rpm) motor provides plenty of power for tough cutting jobs. Thanks to a lightweight, aluminum-alloy construction, the saw weighs only 34.2 pounds. Delta's model MS350 patented stabilizer bar and carry handle provide trouble-free transporting to and from the jobsite, with compact storage capabilities. Its sliding fence adjusts for increased work support, and it is extra tall - convenient for cutting crown molding on edge. The saw's electric brake automatically stops the blade in seconds, and lubricated-for-life ball bearings assure trouble free performance with less maintenance. An attached dust bag collects fine dust and woodchips to keep debris free from the work area.
