Miter Saw cuts structural steel.

Press Release Summary:

CNC controlled LC-1250 cold saw can process up to 50 in. deep sections when positioned to cut at 90 deg, and sections as deep as 34.8 in. can be cut at 45-deg miter in either direction. Option allows saw to miter up to 60 deg in one direction and 45 deg in opposite direction. Miter angle and blade rate of feed are separate axis and are directed as required by CNC program. Rack and pinion system automatically positions saw to proper cutting angle.

Peddinghaus Corporation Introduces New CNC Controlled Mitering Cold Saw for Structural Steel

Peddinghaus Corporation of Bradley, Illinois recently introduced a new CNC controlled miter-cutting cold saw to its product line. The new LC-1250 Peddinghaus cold saw can process up to 50" (1250 mm) deep sections when positioned to cut at 90 degrees. Sections as deep as 34.8" (880 mm) can also be cut at a 45-degree miter in either direction. As an option, the LC-1250 cold saw can be provided to miter up to 60 degrees in one direction and 45 degrees in the opposite direction.

The LC-1250 cold saw is completely CNC controlled as the miter angle and the blade rate of feed are separate axis and are directed as required by the CNC program. This ability to provide the optimum rate of feed as the blade advances horizontally through the material, generates the quickest cutting times possible!

The fixed datum of the LC-1250 cold saw makes it ideally suited to integrate into a material handling system since all sections, regardless of their size, are clamped against the fixed datum line of the conveyor line and the saw. It is not necessary to make any adjustments on the LC-1250 saw when changing from one size section to another.

A rack and pinion system is employed to automatically position the saw to the proper cutting angle by program command in seconds.

Users report that the LC-1250 cold saw by Peddinghaus is the most efficient cold sawing system on the market to process structural steel sections that are to be cut either at 90 degrees or at a right or left hand miter!
