Mirrors suit Nd:YAG laser applications.

Press Release Summary:

Laser Rmax 1064 nm mirrors feature reflectivity of less than 99.8%, and demonstrate drift of less than 1% on 0.2% transmitted signal. Transmitted signal can be used as accurate control signal in laser system. Due to improved optical coatings, damage thresholds at 1064 nm for mirrors have been increased 2-3 times over conventional ion deposition process.

High Performance Mirrors for Nd:YAG Lasers

Laser Components GmbH has been able to improve the performance of optical coatings for laser applications. They have been able to accomplish this by using state of the art ion sources in their ion assisted vapor deposition process.

Laser Rmax 1064 nm mirrors with Reflectivity > 99.8% demonstrate a drift of less than 1% on the 0.2% Transmitted signal. This Transmitted signal can now be used as an accurate control signal in a laser system. Damage thresholds (at 1064 nm) for laser mirrors have been increased 2 - 3 times over the conventional ion deposition process.
