Minicom to Reveal New KVM.net Capabilities for Complete Centralized Management at Interop Las Vegas 2007

JERUSALEM, May 16 -- Minicom Advanced Systems will be showcasing the latest additions to its global centralized management solution product line at this year's Interop event in Las Vegas, May 20-25th, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
Minicom will be located at booth 456.

Smart 116IP and the PX USB join the Smart IP Access as new component options under the umbrella of the KVM.net global centralized management system. Smart IP Access with KVM.net forms a highly secure, Out-of-Band system that connects with any brand KVM switch. This allows a data center with limited IT budget to leverage its existing KVM investment to achieve centralized management and future growth.

With the new Smart 116IP digital KVM switch, a local or remote user can now access and control up to 16 servers under the KVM.net management umbrella, with multi-level security features providing full peace of mind to system administrators.

Meanwhile, the PX USB gives non-blocking access for any number of users to any number of servers. The PX USB features virtual media capability which, with KVM access and power management, allows an IT administrator, for the first time, to achieve complete remote presence from the target servers.

Benny Hayumi, product manager for Minicom says, "With these latest system options, the KVM.net is now the most adaptable, intuitive and cost-effective centralized management solution available today. Not only does it answer the needs of enterprises operating mixed legacy switches who want to expand their operations, but it can adapt to the specific direction in which they want to grow; be it high user/server ratio environments via the PX USB, or lower user/server ratio environments with the Smart 116 IP."
