Miniature Toggle Switches feature anti-jamming design.

Press Release Summary:

Offered in single- and double-pole models, light-duty E-Series features high-torque bushing that prevents rotation and separation from frame during installation. By clinching frame away from terminals, 1,500 V dielectric strength between contact and case is achieved. Anti-jamming design protects contact mechanism from damage if lever is subjected to harsh treatment. Power models are rated 3 A at 125 Vac and logic level devices are rated 0.4 Va max at 28 Vac/dc max.

E-Series of Switches Offers a Lower Cost Alternative to Other High Quality Devices

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - (Feb.28, 2005) - NKK Switches, an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of electromechanical switches, is proudly offering the E-Series of light duty miniature toggle switches. NKK's continued commitment to quality and innovation has been improving the functionality and dependability of products in every major market segment, and NKK Switches consistently remains the front-runner in all efforts to meet current market needs.

While maintaining the integrity and dependability required by today's engineers, the E-Series is a lower cost alternative compared to other high quality miniature switches offered.

Several distinctive characteristics set these devices apart from their competitors. A high torque bushing prevents rotation and separation from the metal frame during installation, the frame is constructed of stainless steel to resist corrosion. By clinching the frame away from the terminals, 1,500V dielectric strength between the contacts and the case is achieved. An anti-jamming design protects the contact mechanism from damage if the lever is subjected to sharp downward force or other harsh treatment. In double-pole models, higher insulating barriers protect these toggles against crossover.

These light duty toggles are available in single-pole or double-pole and in multiple circuit configurations including momentary and maintained circuits. Power and logic level capabilities are available to suit varying design application requirements. Power models are rated at 3A @ 125V AC and logic level devices are rated at 0.4VA maximum @ 28 V AC/DC maximum. Solder lug or straight PC terminals are standard and are epoxy sealed to lock out solder flux and other contaminants. The E-Series is UL Recognized and CSA Certified. In addition, the case of heat resistant resin has a UL94V-0 flammability rating. Optional splash proof boots are offered.

A leading designer and producer of electromechanical switches, NKK Switches offers one of the industry's most extensive selections of illuminated, process sealed, miniature, specialty, and surface mount switches. The company manufactures more than three-million toggle, rocker, pushbutton, slide, rotary and DIP rotary, keypad, and keylock switches. NKK Switches maintains a complete network of qualified representatives and distributors through the United States, Canada, Central and South America, Europe, and Asia.
