Miniature Toggle Switches are offered in many combinations.

Press Release Summary:

Featuring high torque bushing construction that prevents rotation or separation from frame during installation, M series is offered in 1- to 4-pole versions with multi-circuit configurations. Anti-rotation design is standard on all non-cylindrical levers, and interlocked actuator block prevents switch failure due to biased lever movement. RoHs-compliant series features include insulating barriers, stainless steel frame, anti-jamming actuator design and epoxy-sealed terminals.

NKK Switches' M Series Toggles Offer Thousands of Combinations

Cost sensitive designs turn to M series for high-quality, lower cost solution

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (July 18, 2006) - NKK Switches, a leading designer and manufacturer of electromechanical switches, announces the M series of miniature toggle actuated switches, which offers engineers literally thousands of combinations and enables specification of the correct miniature toggle switch for any application.

To alleviate the pressures incurred in the manufacture of today's cost sensitive designs, NKK is now able to deliver these highly reliable devices at lower costs based on higher volumes.

The M series has many distinctive and unique features that set the toggle switches apart from other miniatures currently offered in today's marketplace. The M series' high torque bushing construction prevents rotation or separation from the frame during installation. Anti-rotation design is standard on all non-cylindrical levers. The M series' high quality construction includes an interlocked actuator block to prevent switch failure due to biased lever movement. High insulating barriers increase the isolation of circuits in multi-pole devices and provide added protection to contact points. Prominent external insulation barriers increase insulation resistance and dielectric strength. The frame is constructed of stainless steel to resist corrosion and is clinched to the case well above the base and terminals.

NKK's extensive M series is offered one through four poles with multi-circuit configurations. This series also features an anti-jamming actuator design to protect against mechanism damage from downward force on the toggle or plunger. Actuators include accessory options in various colors and styles. The M series is available with solder lug, PC, wire wrap, straight, bracketed and angle-mount PC terminal choices.

The M series' logic level and power capabilities suit varying design application requirements. Power rated models are rated at 6A @ 125V AC and 3A @ 250V AC. Logic level versions are rated at 0.4VA maximum @ 28V AC/DC. Terminals are epoxy sealed to prevent the entry of flux, solvents and other contaminants. The M series is UL Recognized, CSA Certified and features UL 94V-0 flammability ratings. These switches meet RoHs directives for environmental safety.

A leading designer and producer of electromechanical switches, NKK Switches offers one of the industry's most extensive selections of illuminated, process sealed, miniature, specialty and surface mount switches.
