New Miniature Slit Type Flexible Couplings from Sterling Instrument Featrue Zero Backlash



New Hyde Park, New York - A new series of 88 miniature slit type flexible couplings from Sterling Instrument (an ISO 9001 manufacturer) is available from off-the-shelf stock. They are constructed from a single piece of Aluminum or Stainless Steel with cuts to allow for common types of shaft misalignment. They are stocked in 3 hub mounting styles: split hub, keyway or set screw type. These couplings feature zero backlash and are designed for use in many varied applications including: encoders, measuring equipment, positioning systems, robotics, servo systems, tachometers and test equipment.

Identified as the S50MS series, these Aluminum and Stainless Steel couplings have bores which range from .1250" to 1.000" and O.D.'s from .315" to 2.48". Their maximum angularity ranges from .5° to 2° and maximum eccentricity ranges from .002" to .008"
