NKK Switches Announces CWSC Series Miniature, Illuminated Rockers
Scottsdale, Ariz. (September 8, 2003) - Leading the industry in design technology and creativity, NKK Switches today expanded its product offerings with the CWSC Series of miniature, snap-in mounted, illuminated rockers.
The CWSC series features full face LED illumination. Design engineers can specify LED colors of red, green or amber. The illumination is brilliantly diffused through the clear cap with the matching diffuser color, ensuring even LED color distribution. The caps are factory assembled and an integral part of the switch design. Operators have visible status indication at a glance.
Offered in a double pole single throw circuit, these devices feature the international symbol for ON OFF, the IO marking, molded on the built in bezel. The switch housing is black and compliments any color choice of illumination.
The CWSC is rated at 9A @ 125V AC or 6A @ 250V AC. They feature an interior shield to prevent the contamination of the rocker by carbon from any arcing that may occur. The contact mechanism is a single-break and snap acting, giving smooth actuation and audible, tactile feedback. In addition, stable stationary contact construction ensures high reliability. The quick-make, quick-break characteristics limit arcing and the result is prolonged electrical life. The mechanical life is 30,000 operations minimum. The housing is constructed in a polyamide with a polycarbonate rocker.
The CWSC series of snap in mounted miniature rockers enhance any front panel design. In addition, the front panel-mounting feature assures labor-saving installation. Terminals are Solder Lug/ 110" Quick Connect and can be used with connectors to facilitate wiring requirements. Critical to the design of the CWSC series is the offset terminal alignment resulting in unparalleled insulation resistance and increased dielectric strength.
