Miniature Relays consume very little power.

Press Release Summary:

Model AZ852 and AZ853 relays meet Bellcore's 2.5 kV and FCC Part 68 1.5 kV surge voltages standards, plus IEC 60950, UL1950 and EN60950 spacing and high breakdown voltage requirements. Both consume only 79 mW power at pick-up, have stable contact resistance for signal or low-level switching, and are epoxy-sealed for automatic processing. Versions with latching coil and/or SMT enclosure are available. Both come packaged in tubes or tape and reel.

Original Press Release:

AZ852 and AZ853 Series 1 Amp Micro-Miniature Polarized Relays

The next generation telecom relays, AZ852 and AZ853, is being brought to market by American Zettler, Inc. Outstanding features include meeting Bellcore's 2.5kV and FCC Part 68 1.5kV surge voltages, 1 kV across open contacts, and UL94V-0 plastics with 30 min. Oxygen Index. The AZ852 and AZ853 conform to IEC 60950, UL1950, and EN60950 spacing and high breakdown voltage requirements. Creepage and Clearance are 1.0 and 1.6mm, respectively. Basic insulation is for 150V working voltage, with Pollution Degree 2. This relay consumes very little power (79mW at pick-up), has stable contact resistance for signal or low level switching, and is epoxy sealed for automatic processing. Versions with a latching coil and/or SMT enclosure are available. This relay comes packaged in tubes or Tape & Reel.
