NKK Switches Offers MB2000 Series Miniature Pushbuttons
Scottsdale, Ariz. (January 26, 2004) - NKK Switches offers the MB2000 series of miniature pushbuttons, which provides engineers with an extensive range of styles and options to suit all design challenges.
The MB2000 series of miniature pushbuttons is available in single pole, double pole, and four pole, double throw configurations, and engineers can choose from both momentary and alternate circuits. This distinctive series of switches is extremely reliable. It features high torque bushing construction, which prevents rotation or separation from its frame during installation.
The MB2000 series is designed with an over-center actuator mechanism which diminishes sparking and increases operating life in AC circuits. The guide-interlocked actuator blocks prevent window locking and maintain correct plunger alignment, thus assuring contact reliability. All models feature high insulating barriers, increasing the isolation of circuits in multi-pole devices. The frames are clinched well above the case and terminals, providing 1,500V dielectric strength. Terminals are epoxy-sealed to prevent entry of flux and other contaminants.
Power rated models are 6A @ 125V AC and 3A @ 250V AC or 3A @ 30V DC. Logic level devices are rated at 0.4VA maximum @ 28V AC/DC maximum. Dual rated versions, featuring gold over silver contacts are also available. Various mounting options are available, including bushing choices of ¼-40 ", 6mm and 12mm.
Available terminals include solder lug, quick connect, wire-wrap in various lengths, and PC terminals. PC terminals can be specified in straight PC, bracketed and unbracketed models, as well as right angle and vertical mount options. Pushbutton caps are available in various sizes and colors, in either snap-on or screw-in choices.
The large bushing versions of the MB2000 series offer additional choices. These devices can be ordered with various accessories including snap-in mounts and large shrouds in round or rectangular shapes. This allows a front panel appearance of a larger switch device but only requires a small back panel space.
Splash-proof options are available, featuring an o-ring within the bushing and one under the face nut, to protect from splashed, sprayed, or spilled liquids. The splash-proof bushings meet IP67. Additional accessories available for the MB2000 series include conical nuts and splash-proof boots.
The MB2000 series is UL Recognized and CSA Certified. UL94V-0 case is available.
