Oval Diaphragm Rietschle Thomas Pump Produces High Flow in Very Small Package

The new Rietschle Thomas Model 4002 miniature diaphragm pump incorporates an elongated, oval-shaped diaphragm having a larger surface area than a conventional round diaphragm. Because of this, the Model 4002 can produce higher flows than a similarly sized pump with a standard diaphragm.

The slim, small, lightweight and oil-less pump has been designed for applications where space is at a premium. It is a good fit for gas detectors, air sampling, particle counters and eye-surgery equipment. The 4002 pump measures just 2.1 in. (52.5 mm) long, 0.7 in. (17.3 mm) wide and 1.2 in. (30.3 mm) high. It weights 0.09 lbs. (45 g).

Maximum flow is rated at 0.07 cfm (2.0 lpm). Maximum vacuum is rated at 17.8 in. hg (-600 mbar). Pressure versions are also available. The 4002 pump is powered by a 7 VDC motor and
incorporates a long-life EPDM diaphragm and valves.

With annual sales of over two million units into more than 70 countries, Rietschle Thomas stands as the world leader in vacuum and pressure technology. Rietschle Thomas has been supplying custom and standard pumps and compressors for both air and liquid for over four decades.
