Micro-Miniature Pressure Sensor Designed for OEM Applications

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. - August 2, 2004 - Endevco's Model 32394 is an innovative silicon pressure sensor designed for OEM (original equipment manufacturer) applications. The Model 32394 measures 1.65 mm x 1.2 mm x 0.4mm and is designed for surface mount installation. Four connection pads enable the sensor to be "flip chip" mounted to a circuit or substrate using conductive epoxy or solder. The Model 32394 is ideal for medical or other applications where micro-miniature size is required. Based on MEMS technology, which combines silicon-based microelectronics with micromachining, the Model 32394 is smaller, lighter, more functional and reliable than conventional pressure sensors.

The Model 32394 is available in two full scale ranges, 0-15 and 0-50 psia. Both have a nominal 200 mV full scale output when powered with a sensor excitation of 5 VDC. A unique sculptured diaphragm provides high sensitivity, high overpressure capability and excellent linearity.
