Thomson Industries Introduces New MicroGuide Family of Miniature Linear Guides
Port Washington, NY - In keeping with its goal to supply the broadest selection of linear guide types available from a single supplier, Thomson Industries announces the addition of a new series of ultra-compact stainless steel linear guides called MicroGuide(TM). The guides, which are made of 440C stainless steel construction, require little or no lubrication. They feature Gothic Arch ball groove geometry to assure extremely smooth, whisper quiet, single rail operation. High precision accuracy is up to +/-0.1mm.
The first models to be introduced in the family are sizes -- 5mm, 7mm, 9mm, 12mm - and have an industry standard envelope and bolt-hole pattern for drop-in replacement of existing guides. The 5mm MicroGuide is cleanroom and vacuum compatible. The new guides are ideal for "pick and place" of miniature components and devices in:
