Wieland Adds 4-Pole Version to Miniature Industrial Connector Family
BURGAW, N.C. (September, 2002) - Wieland Electric Inc, a leading provider of industrial interconnect products, recently added a four-pole version to its line of miniature industrial "multipole" connectors. Designated the revos Series, the four-pole version provides pluggable input/ouput connections with a standard ground connection. Ideal for sensor applications in space-constrained areas, these miniature connectors provide a safe and convenient method of connecting signal lines without hard wiring.
Within the series, three and four pole versions provide screw style connections, while seven and eight pole versions provide crimp connections. The four-pole connector is rated for 250V, 10A for wire sizes 22-12AWG. The pluggable nature of the connectors enables a "first-make, last break" grounding safety that protects from a potential shock under load during an unintentional disconnection.
The revos connectors use standard hoods and housings that may be outfitted with electrical inserts according to application. Hoods and housings are equipped with strain relief clamps and are protected to IP54 standards or IP65 with the appropriate cable glands. Miniature hoods and housings are available in either plastic or metal material.
