Parker Hannifin Introduces New MB8 Miniature Ball Valve

Jacksonville, Alabama-A new series of bi-directional flow valves with a one-piece seat/packing design has been introduced by Parker Hannifin's Instrumentation Valve Division. The MB8 Valves have a stainless steel body and are pressure rated at 2500
psig (172 bar) CWP.

"These valves have a unique design to which helps ensure excellent sealing characteristics and outstanding cycle life under a vast range of temperatures," said Craig Beckwith, marketing manager of IVD. "The MB8 Valves have a rugged, compact design and they provide positive shut-off or directional control of fluids in process, power, or instrumentation applications."

The MB8 Valves are especially suitable for use on chemical plant sample lines that require a high flow or on lubrication lines in power plants. They can also be used in various facility applications within semiconductor plants. The MB8 Valves have an
operating range of -65° F to 300° F (-54° C to 149° C), the widest range for a valve of its kind in the industry, Beckwith noted.

Each MB8 Valve features a stainless steel body with a two-way inline and three-way body configuration designed to minimize leaks, while requiring less maintenance during temperature cycling. All models have positive handle stops and are panel-mountable. Port Connections are FNPT, CPI(TM) single-ferrule or A-LOK® double-ferrule systems.

"The new MB8 design is based on the highly successful Parker MB Valve series which have earned a solid reputation for outstanding performance, reliability, and durability at job sites around the world," Beckwith noted. To help ensure reliability at the work site, every MB8 Valve undergoes an extensive test before it leaves the factory.

The Instrumentation Valve Division designs, develops, and manufactures a wide range of valves for instrumentation applications.
