Mini Toggle Switches offer thousands of design combinations.

Press Release Summary:

Constructed of stainless steel for corrosion resistance, miniature PCB mount M Series includes high torque bushing construction to prevent rotation or separation from frame during installation. RoHS-compliant units feature anti-rotation design on all non-cylindrical levers, interlocked actuator block to prevent switch failure due to biased lever movement, and insulating barriers for isolation of circuits in multi-pole devices. Users can choose actuator length and style and terminal type.

NKK Switches Announces Miniature PCB Mount Toggle Switches

Series aids engineers in finding the perfect fit PCB mount toggle switch for any application

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Nov 18, 2009) - NKK Switches, the world's leading designer and manufacturer of innovative electromechanical switches, today announced the M Series miniature PCB-mounted toggle switches. The M Series offers engineers thousands of combination possibilities, providing the perfect fit of PCB mount toggle switches for any application.

The M Series miniature PCB toggle switches feature several distinguishing characteristics such as a high torque bushing construction to prevent rotation or separation from the frame during installation; an anti-rotation design on all non-cylindrical levers; an interlocked actuator block to prevent switch failure due to biased lever movement; and stainless steel construction to resist corrosion.

The M Series also features high-insulating barriers to increase the isolation of circuits in multi-pole devices and provides added protection to contact points while the prominent external insulation barriers increase insulation resistance and dielectric strength. An anti-jamming actuator design protects against mechanism damage from downward force on the toggle.

Engineers may choose actuator length and also between locking lever, bat, cone, color tipped cone, flatted or snap paddle styles. In addition, they can choose optional accessories that include bat covers in various colors and styles and splash proof toggle boots.

M Series terminals can be specified in straight PC, straight PC bracketed with varying lengths, right angle and vertical angle bracketed. The terminals are epoxy sealed to prevent the entry of flux, solvents and other contaminants.

The M Series is also offered in multi-circuit configurations for one through four poles. In each instance, logic level and power capabilities are available to suit varying design application requirements.

Power rated models are rated at 6A@125V AC and 3A@250V AC, and 4A@30V DC for two position ON-ON and three position ON-OFF-ON configurations with all other circuits carrying a 3A @30V DC rating. Logic level versions are 0.4VA maximum@28V AC/DC.

The M Series is UL Recognized, C-UL Recognized and CSA Certified. All models feature UL 94V-0 flammability ratings. Water tight and dust tight versions are available and qualify to IP 67 of IEC60529 Standards. The Series also meets RoHS directives for environmental safety.
