Original Press Release:

Popular, Low Cost Mini-Size Flow Switch Now Weatherproof

The Model V11 Mini-Size FloTect® Flow Switch takes Dwyer Instrument's very popular Model V10 Flow Switch and adds rugged, integral electrical wiring. The one-piece polybutylene terephthalate switch housing snaps onto the body and the wiring is epoxy sealed, making the V11 Flow Switch weatherproof, meeting NEMA 4 standards.

Priced from $50.00, the Model V11 Flow Switch's unique design eliminates the need for running conduit between the switch and panel, lowering installation costs. The 22 AWG cable used is UV resistant, flame retardant, and comes standard six feet in length.

Incorporated into the Model V11 is a hermetically sealed reed switch that is available in normally open or normally closed configurations. The switch housing is located outside of the process media, making switch change over or maintenance easy without interruption of the process.

Switch body is leakproof and is available in brass or 303 Stainless Steel. A trimmable 301 Stainless Steel vane is provided with a removable laminated template. This template is calibrated for brass or ductile iron reducing tees and forged steel straight tee/bushing combinations, allowing for field installation in pipelines of 1/2" to 2" in diameter.
