Miniature Keyboard And Cursor Controller Feature Back-Lighting
STRATFORD, CONNECTICUT, OCTOBER 24. CTI Electronics announces two new back-lit products, a miniature NEMA 4 (IP66) sealed keyboard and a standalone cursor controller. The miniature keyboard, measuring only 8.70" x 6.15", features full 101/104 key functionality with full size keys and up to ten levels of intensity of either red or green LED back-lighting. The standalone cursor controller, designated ARROWMOUSE(TM), offers drift-free operation and is especially designed to meet an OEM's small footprint requirements. The model AP2000-BX ARROWMOUSE offers up to ten levels of intensity of either red or green LED back-lighting. Rated NEMA 4 (IP66), this sealed cursor controller features six keys which replicate all mouse functions and is compatible with all computers.
The miniature keyboard is designated KIA6000-BX in a painted, waterproof enclosure and KIA6600-BX in a stainless steel enclosure. Each keyboard has rubber feet, sealed threaded holes for optional mounting, and arrives equipped with a standard 6 foot cable length. Both models feature a built-in ARROWMOUSE cursor controller and are suitable for limited space applications needing illumination.
The ARROWMOUSE measures 1.8" x 1.9" and requires less than 0.5" of panel depth. The ARROWMOUSE features a left and right mouse key plus four other direction keys that allow for cursor movement in eight directions with variable speed or single pixel control. Molded of silicone rubber, the ARROWMOUSE keys feature 2 mm travel for excellent tactile response and gold over nickel contacts for high reliability. Power for back-lighting is drawn from the computer mouse port.
