WIN Enterprises Announces Mini ITX Motherboard with Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and 2GbE LAN



NORTH ANDOVER, MA, December 15, 2008: WIN Enterprises, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of embedded controllers and network platforms for OEMs, announces the MB-73170 Mini ITX motherboard. Powered by the Intel® Core(TM) 2 Duo processor, the MB-73170 was designed for applications requiring high-performance in a small form factor such as POS, mobile kiosks, factory automation, gaming machines, multimedia, and digital signage.

An Intel® Socket 479 CoreTM 2 Duo processor is supported by the Intel 965GME and ICH8M express chipsets. The Intel® 965GME mobile chipset (GMA X3100) supports dual independent display such CRT + LVDS, CRT+DVI. Through an Intel® 82573L Ethernet controller, the board supports two GbE LAN ports and the IEEE 802.3u standard for network connectivity. The onboard ICH8M chipset supports HD audio with mic in, line in and line out. Two DIMM sockets support up to 4GB of DDR2 system memory (533/667 MHz). For those requiring additional multimedia support, expansion is available through one PCI slot, one Mini PCI slot and a CompactFlash socket. Two Serial ATA interfaces provide up to a 150 MB/sec transfer rate.

The board features six USB 2.0 ports, six COM ports. MB-73170 equipped with an on-board TPM 1.2 chip to provide a runtime mechanism for encryption support during transaction, communication, and signature phases. TPM 1.2 assists in verification of user authentication and authorization.

Software Support
