Wide Temperature Range in a Compact Package
Extech's new wide range InfraRed (IR) Thermometer, Model 42510, measures from -58 to 1000°F (-50 to 538°C) with 0.1° resolution. A built-in laser pointer pinpoints the area to be measured. The 8:1 distance to target ratio is normally available only in higher priced thermometers. The large LCD is backlit so that readings can be taken at night or in areas with low light levels. Automatic Data Hold freezes the display and there is an overrange indicator. Fixed emissivity (0.95) covers 90% of the surface temperature applications. The mini size and light weight (6.4oz) means the thermometer is easily carried around and always handy for a quick temperature check.
