Minature Accelerometer has +/- 500 g measuring range.

Press Release Summary:

Model 8764A500 triaxial accelerometer weighs 1.3 g and incorporates shear element construction, assuring immunity from base strain and thermal transients. Measuring range is ±500 g in x, y, and z axes, and piezoelectric ceramic elements have sensitivity of 10 mV/g per axis. Momentary events can be captured due to 2-10 kHz frequency response capability. Hard anodized aluminum housing and 1 m cable provide ground isolation and electrical shielding.

Miniature Accelerometer Packs High Performance In Small Size

At 1.3 grams, a new ultra miniature triaxial accelerometer offers high performance in contrast to its size. The 8764A500 accelerometer from Kistler Instrument has a measuring range of ±500g in the x, y and z axes. The shear element construction assures high immunity from base strain and thermal transients. Piezoelectric ceramic elements have a sensitivity of 10mV/g per axis. Momentary events can be captured due the wide frequency response capability of 2 to 10kHz.

The hard anodized aluminum housing and durable one meter integral cable provide both ground isolation and high integrity electrical shielding for a wide range of environments. The voltage mode, low impedance output is suitable for IEPE (Integrated Electronic Piezo Electric) compatible signal conditioners. With the miniature size, small test objects suitable for component and product testing can be evaluated.

Kistler is a worldwide supplier of precision instrumentation for the measurement of pressure, force and acceleration serving the R&D, Industrial and OEM Communities.
