Milling Machine features fixed bed design.

Press Release Summary:

HS-324 features dual-opposed spindle milling head with 2 separate spindles: 6000 rpm, 20 hp conventionally driven unit providing low end torque for roughing; and 30,000 rpm, 10 hp electrospindle for high speed finishing. Five axis capabilities are achieved by combining swiveling vertical spindle with rotary table built-in to stationary table surface. Rotary table is 40 in. dia and runs at 80 rpm with linear feed rates approaching 1000 ipm.

HS-324 High Speed Five Axis Fixed Bed Milling Machine on Display by Parpas

The fixed bed design of the HS Series milling machines provides an extremely stable platform for very accurate high speed five axis machining. Table loading capabilities are virtually unlimited, and servo performance does not need to be compromised for variations in the moving mass. This design also lends itself well to the use of automatic work loading devices and other accessories.

Five axis capabilities are achieved by combining a swiveling vertical spindle with a rotary table built-in to the stationary table surface.

This machine also features a dual-opposed spindle milling head. The unique configuration of this head includes two separate spindles; a 6000 rpm 20 horsepower conventionally driven unit providing low end torque for roughing, and a 30,000 rpm 10 horsepower electrospindle for high speed finishing.

The 40" diameter built-in rotary table is powered by a newly developed torque motor drive system and runs at a very fast 80 rpm. Linear feed rates approach 1000 ipm.

Travels are 94" longitudinal, 45" vertical and 39" cross. The machine is equipped with a twenty-four position tool changer and the PC based Parpas/OMV AZ-200 CNC control. Larger and smaller travel versions are available.
