Kyocera Mita America Announces Enhanced Network Support and Device Compatibility for Its Kyocapture Document Workflow Solution

KYOcapture 4.6 Adds a New Dimension to Multifunction Capabilities and Simplifies the Document Workflow Process

FAIRFIELD, N.J. - March 13, 2007 - Kyocera Mita America, Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, today announced it has enhanced KYOcapture powered by AutoStore, a server-based Document Capture Workflow Solution, with the release of version 4.6. The latest version offers new components that allow Kyocera multifunctional products (MFPs) to easily integrate with the imaging industry's top document management solutions. Building on Kyocera's commitment to provide enterprises with complete document imaging solutions, KYOcapture enables businesses to realize increased efficiencies and reduce operating costs in their document workflow infrastructure.

KYOcapture allows organizations to optimize their workflow by enabling select Kyocera MFPs to capture, process and route paper or electronic-based documents to multiple locations and document management systems. KYOcapture 4.6 includes enhanced routing capabilities and compatibility with leading content management solutions including FileNet, IBM Content Manager 8.3, and LaserFiche. KYOcapture now offers the flexibility to be easily adopted by users while maintaining a high level of control and security by administrators and IT managers.

"KYOcapture is an essential enterprise office solution that provides MFP users with reliable and secure workflow processing capabilities to promote the electronic capture, processing and routing of critical information," said Peter Hendrick, vice president, marketing at Kyocera Mita America. "Kyocera is committed to the development of software and solutions that improve information management, boost efficiency, and streamline customer workflow operations across an organization."

In addition, document workflow is now faster, smarter and easier due to several new capture components. Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) Poll gives users the flexibility to schedule polling time from each site, thereby ensuring valuable network resources are not diminished while searching for new documents. The Send to SFTP component routes documents to a secure FTP site, allowing for additional control over site transmissions as well as bandwidth flow-control. Multi Poll assists large enterprise environments by allowing access to multiple directories and implementing various workflow for each.

As open-architecture middleware, KYOcapture is designed to integrate with existing or new document management systems, as a portal through which documents can travel. Through custom keys on the MFP's operation panel, KYOcapture provides the ability to capture documents and content from Kyocera devices. KYOcapture also includes an address book management and synchronization tool for Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Notes/Domino, bi-directional data validation from the device, and an increased level of security on multifunctional products and printers that utilize LDAP, Novell and Microsoft Windows Security.

In February, Kyocera achieved Microsoft Gold Certified Partner status. KYOcapture along with iTag, Kyocera's out-of-the-box document management solution, were key components to this accomplishment. By utilizing Microsoft Windows SharePoint technology in their development, Kyocera demonstrated it understands that end-users require solutions that are built on familiar platforms - specifically the Microsoft Office environment.

KYOcapture is compatible with the following MFPs; KM-C3232, KM-C3225, KM-C2520, KM-3050, KM-4050, KM-5050, KM-6030, and KM-8030. Additional Kyocera MFPs can be connected using Poll Directory or SMTP Capture components.

Kyocera's award-winning line of monochrome and color MFPs and printers are available through authorized dealers. For more information on pricing and availability, please visit Kyocera's web site, at: www.kyoceramita.com/us .
