.Net-Based Baracoda Manager V3 New Multi-Platform Middleware For Easy Integration Of Bluetooth Barcode Readers

Baracoda, the leading manufacturer of Bluetooth barcode readers for the Auto-ID market, is pleased to announce BaracodaManager V3, the latest version of its middleware package designed to link Bluetooth barcode scanners to any professional mobile application. Baracoda's latest middleware package has been built on Microsoft's .net platform in order to simplify developers' work in integrating mobile data capture solutions into their applications.

According to Baracoda CEO Thomas Serval, "BaracodaManager is the pillar of our product strategy. We offer simple, intelligent connections between the professional applications used by our customers and our range of Bluetooth scanners. This new version has put us even further ahead of the competition."

BaracodaManager is easy to use and allows barcodes to be entered into any application with minimum development time. The middleware package also offers more sophisticated options to facilitate the management of the barcodes scanned and to ensure easy application maintenance. It is a multiplatform package and it can manage Bluetooth links between a host (Windows PC, PDA with Palm OS or Pocket PC, Smart phone Symbian OS 6 and 7, and all WinCE.net terminals) and a Baracoda barcode reader.

"Baracoda products offer impressive adaptability to the mobile solutions used by our customers. In fact, it was after testing various solutions available on the market that the true added value offered by Baracoda became apparent. Development costs were reduced drastically and the package could be used with several hardware configurations," stated Morgann Lesne, Associate Director of Tech4Field and Tech4Trials.

The latest version of BaracodaManager offers the following improvements: first, it is available on Microsoft's .net and .net Compact Framework platforms in order to ensure easier integration with mobile applications (integration of Baracoda DLLs is easier with the .net platform than with C++); second, it provides improved buffer-memory management (for 2604 scanners with integrated memory); third, it has the ability to manage multiple scanners (simultaneous connection of several scanners to a single host terminal); finally, it allows to configure and test Baracoda barcode scanners.
