Rugged Construction. Powerful Performance. Ease of Accessibility

New Berlin, WI- Cumberland is pleased to introduce the new CT500 series- the latest innovation in size reduction aimed at the recycling of large containers and blow molded objects.

Available in three sizes: 20 x 28, 20 x 36 and 20 x 48, the CT500 Series also offers a large 20 inch (500 mm) cutting circle is standard for enhanced part ingestion, and throughputs range from 2000 to 3500 lbs/hr.

The Tangential Series design-features allow these mid-sized granulators to deliver high throughputs reclaiming large, bulky parts that would normally require a more costly, higher horsepower central granulator. This new model offers superior quality and performance with ease of accessibility. A safety interlocked, rear access, hopper provides hassle free cleanout and inspection while the front hopper access door completely opens up for quick and easy maintenance with minimal downtime.

Available in 3-and 5-knife rotors, with high shear or steep angle rotors, the T500 Series encompasses the design elements for the widest variety of application needs.
Total access to the cutting area and knives via 2 drop down doors front and back that will allow the customer full access to the knives (without reaching over the knives) as well as the cutting chamber to efficiently clean the machine during color changes. Rotational end discs provide clean, dust-free granulation without the "angel" hair or smearing that traditionally exists with a conventional solid wall granulator.
The drop-down chambers are powered by compressed air cylinders that open and close the unit efficiently without time consuming manual or hydraulic jacks.

The side mounted motor allows full access to this cutting chamber without the hazard of working over a drive system. This side mounted motor is designed for configuration on either side depending on the customer preference. The space it consumes is the same that is required for a fan tube transition so there is no wasted space in the design.

The CT500 comes in its standard "hand feed" design with a feed height of 59" providing a comfortable height for a person to feed and the "Conveyor" feed design which is less than 78" reducing the overall footprint required when adding the conveyor.

Cumberland Engineering is the world leader in size reduction equipment, while also offering a complete line of downstream extrusion equipment.
