Gore Microwave Test Assemblies Now Available In Higher Frequencies
Elkton, Md. (June 2002) - W. L. Gore & Associates, Inc., a leading provider of microwave cable and cable assemblies, now offers its PHASEFLEX(TM) test assemblies in frequency ranges up to 65 GHz. These internally ruggedized microwave coaxial assemblies provide excellent phase and amplitude stability with flexure. They combine the electrical advantages of an expanded PTFE dielectric with an integrated environmental protection system. With the ruggedization designed into the cable, the assemblies have excellent durability while remaining exceptionally lightweight and flexible.
PHASEFLEX assemblies are intended for production test applications or where the test area is not located in the vicinity of the equipment. The assemblies are also well suited for vector network analyzer (VNA) setups where frequent measurements are performed. They offer power-handling capability with low phase change that permits accurate and repeatable measurements without needing to perform time-consuming calibrations between measurements.
Unlike traditional test assemblies, PHASEFLEX cable assemblies are made to be highly flexible. The internally ruggedized design allows for a 1 in. (2.5cm) minimum bend radius without affecting the cable performance, and there is virtually no springback.
Phase matched, temperature stable, and replaceable interface options are available in configurations operating from DC to 65 GHz. Off-the-shelf standard configurations are available to ship within 2 days.
