Microwave Cables offer resistance to extreme temperatures.

Press Release Summary:

Metal-jacketed Microwave Cables use high purity silicon dioxide, which resists temperatures in excess of 900°C. They can be operated in excess of 20 GHz and provide low insertion loss and VSWR. Cables indicate insignificant change in insertion loss and very small change in phase as function of temperature. They are completely hermetic and suitable for hostile environments such as aircraft, radar, decoys, and electronic measure systems.

New Microwave Cable SIO2 Offers Resistance to Extreme Temperatures with a Minor Change of Insertion Loss and Phase as a Function of Temperatures

Sun Valley, CA - With the increase in demand for high reliability microwave cable assemblies, Precision Measurements has developed metal jacketed microwave cables using high purity silicon dioxide which resists temperatures in excess of 900c.

Special processing developed by Precision Measurements has resulted in low dielectric constant microwave cable which can be operated in excess of 20 GHZ and provide a low insertion loss and VSWR. Specially formulated glass developed by Precision Measurements is used in manufacturing microwave connectors which are used in manufacturing microwave cable assemblies which provide a low loss and resistance to extreme temperatures. The cable assemblies are completely hermetic and provide the best choice for hostile environments.

The performance of Precision Measurements Silicon Dioxide (SIO2) Microwave Cable is unmatched by cables manufactured using PTFE. Where all Teflon insulated cables change their electrical performance in extreme temperatures, silicon dioxide microwave cable remains stable, indicating an insignificant change in insertion loss and a very small change in phase as a function of temperature. These unique characteristics provide a solution for precision measurements microwave cable assemblies to be used in various types of aircraft, radars, decoys and electronic counter measure systems.

For past 22 years Precision Measurements has been supplying high quality product to united states military. Precision Measurements has qualified product which is used in M101 gun system in F-16 aircraft.
